Baseball's first release was a split 7" with Ricaine, also being their first issue. This followed by a second 7" in June of 1995. The Ocean Is Blue And Green was a collection of songs written while travelling in Egypt, Turkey and Israel, and mostly focused on coming to terms with the death of Cameron's father in 1997. Recorded over a period of 15 months at Atlantis studios by Simon Grounds and Mingle Sound Lodge by Nick Carrol. The songs break from the industrial sound scapes of the 7" issues and take an intimate and personal setting through piano and strings.
